Hot Destinations:

puertoframe.jpg (13248 bytes) Puerto Vallarta. On the Pacific coast of Mexico, "PV" is one of the hottest gay friendly resort destinations, drawing like minded people not just from the States but from Europe as well. On the large and picturesque Bay of Banderas, the original town is still full of Spanish colonial influence, from the bell tower to the cobblestone streets and white washed walls. Surprisingly great restaurants abound. (Good food in Mexico? Yes, it’s true!) And great shopping south of the border style, as in: if you spend a hundred dollars you better bring an extra suitcase in which to pack your new goodies. Best of all you will find in town (not hidden on the edge) a decidedly gay beach, as well as a number of gay nightspots.
Where to stay? LOTS of possibilities:
L.O.T.S. Like all of the amenities? Stay in the marina area, just north of town at one of the better resort hotels.
L.O.T.S. Want a place to call your home away from home? Rent a condo in a great spot on the beach in town.
L.O.T.S. Got a crowd? Do it right in a multi level villa that crawls up the hillside on the "gold coast" just south of town. It comes with a cook and maid, of course.
L.O.T.S. On a budget? Stay at one of the small properties, off the beach, in town near all of the partying.
L.O.T.S. Where do I go from here? Call us at 215-753-7500 or E-mail us at info@lotstravel.com and we will help you.

Costa Rica is a little country with big time attractions. It runs all of the way from sea level on the Caribbean, over mountains topping out at 12,000 feet and back to sea level on the Pacific. You will find active volcanoes, lush rain forests and dramatic coastline. All of this along with a fascinating variety of places to stay from lovely mainstream resorts to some of the most picturesque and isolated full service properties in the world.

This is the kind of place where the people are one of the attractions. The country has no standing army; the Spanish spoken here is like that from your "learn Spanish really fast" tapes, and the attitude toward tourists of all types is like that of gracious hosts welcoming you into their homes.

One can "do" Costa Rica in a multitude of ways. No matter which you choose you will probably want to go back and try another.

L.O.T.S. Want a gay and Lesbian environment? Make two stops. One in the capital city of San Jose and the second in the national park of Manuel Antonio on the Pacific where you will find the gay beach and lots of girls and boys like yourself.
L.O.T.S. Want to see some ecologically fascinating stuff? Your itinerary should include a stay at the incredibly lush Monteverde Cloud Forest and one at Arenal, the active (yes, it’s true) volcano.
L.O.T.S. Prefer luxury? Fly from San Jose and spend a few nights at the opulent, full service Melia Playa Conchal on the Pacific then proceed to very private, very luxurious Lapa Rios in an isolated area far south along the west coast easily accessible only by plane (the stuff fantasies are made of).
L.O.T.S. Or combine any of the above. Or add your own stuff. Call or E-mail us and  we will help design the perfect itinerary for you! 215-753-7500 or info@lotstravel.com

Sunny Florida remains one of this country’s hot vacation spots and this is equally true (if not more so) for the Lesbian and gay traveler. Let’s work our way south to north:

Key West. Is this picturesque little hybrid of stateside predictability and Caribbean mentality still a gay destination? It depends upon how one does it. In spite of the fact that the luxury chains have successfully attracted a large number of young straights here, there remains an atmosphere of that hippie "lets all have a great time partying together". If that’s not what you are looking for you can easily confine yourself one of the multitude of marvelous Lesbian and gay guest houses many of which are more like compounds with lovely pools and serving breakfast and drinks. One need not venture out except to eat, which you will be happy to do in one of the destination’s many superior restaurants keywest2.jpg (19857 bytes)
southbeachsm.jpg (21484 bytes) South Miami Beach. Our step out into the Florida sunshine, Sobe is a statement in itself. No longer are we hidden on that distant last little key, we are "out" in the midst of a major American city! This destination reeks of that exuberance! Collins Avenue, the main drag, (never was a street more appropriately referred to) and the undulating sidewalk along the beach are a constant parade of muscle shirts and rollerblades. The style of hotel here is refurbished art deco European, otherwise known as basic but cutting edge cool.
Fort Lauderdale. This very "up and coming" spot is becoming the more mature version of the Sobe generation of "out". If you have an ancient memory of Lauderdale having something to do with out of control college kids and cheap hotels, them days are over! To their credit, governmental powers here have actively courted the Lesbian and gay community in their renaissance efforts. The result has been a very large permanent population as well as a great variety of gay guesthouses and bars. fort2.jpg (12822 bytes)
Orlando? Why not support the Mouse? They have wonderful domestic partner benefits for their employees, many of whom are out. They give tacit support to "Gay Day", the first Saturday in June when the park fills with red shirted (don’t ask me why) homosexuals and when the Baptist Church threatened to boycott the company because of this, they did not repond.  Besides, you’ll never find a better place to recoup some of that lost childhood.

There are LOTS of other hot spots that we would love to tell you about.
